Energy Efficiency Construction Program

What's it about?

The Energy Efficiency Construction program provides a financial incentive for using high-efficiency equipment in new agricultural building construction. This Program is designed to encourage energy efficiency resulting in cost savings, energy conservation, and reduced carbon emissions.

Who can apply?

The Energy Efficiency Construction program is available to all Alberta farmers with minimum $10,000 gross annual agricultural revenue and who qualify for Alberta Farm Fuel Benefit.  Qualifying applicants must show that their construction project is a cost of production for their farming operation. Residences and buildings used primarily for non-farm businesses do not qualify.

Qualifying applicants must also have a Growing Forward registration number. If you have not already done so, click here to access Growing Forward registration forms. Your Growing Forward registration number is required for all Growing Forward program applications.
